The final countdown for Pet Fair Asia 2024 has begun!

The show will kick off in Shanghai on August 21st, showcasing to the audience the most ground breaking developments of the pet industry in Asia and beyond

The 26th edition of Pet Fair Asia - leading international pet show in Asia Pacific – will open its doors at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from 21st to 25th of August 2024 for its largest edition up to date. An all-time record of 300,000 sqm exhibiting space will be occupied by over 2,500 exhibitors, who will showcase the recent innovations in all types of pet products and services. Already fully opened and eager to do business with the rest of the world, China remains one of the most important hubs in the pet industry, on both supply and demand sides.

“We are thrilled to bring to the audience this year the largest Pet Fair Asia edition up to date. The continuous growth of our show is a true testimonial of the pet industry’s prosperity in China and the entire Asian region and the important role that our platform plays in supporting this growth." – said David Zhong, Founder of Pet Fair Asia. "Asia has already taken the lead in many innovative aspects related to the industry. There is no better B2B platform in the region that captives all of them at once, in such a large scale. The show is a true barometer for the future trends and developments in the Asian pet industry.”- concluded Zhong.

PROMOTING COMMUNICATION AND EXCHANGE IN THE INDUSTRY – EVENTS IN PROGRAM

Pet Fair Asia has always put an important focus on being not only a trading platform, but also a reference point for education, information and know-how exchange in Asia’s pet industry. For this purpose, more than 40 concurrent events are put in place to enhance attendees' experience and create more content and networking opportunities.

Among these events, International Pet industry Summit (IPIS)—Asia CEO Summit, stands out as a flagship conference, widely recognized as one of the most important in China’s pet market. Already in its 13th edition, it will take place on the day before the show opening under the theme “Navigate through new business cycle”. IPIS will gather together C-level management of some of the most important international players in the industry and will see 25 Chinese and international speakers and panelists actively participate in various discussions.

Ms. Jin Liu, Senior Research Analyst of China Pet Care Industry at Euromonitor International, world’s leading independent provider of strategic market research, will provide highlights on Asia Pacific pet market during IPIS. For this occasion, Liu said: “In recent years, China’s pet care market has steadily grown, with more pet-owning households and pet population. This growth supports the pet care market. As the bond between humans and pets strengthens, consumers are increasingly focused on pet health and nutrition. Pet Fair Asia and IPIS offer a valuable opportunity for Euromonitor to emphasize the significance of pets in consumers’ lives, opening up new avenues for business innovation and brand differentiation.”

The panel of esteemed speakers at IPIS include, among others, also Michael Lou (Chairman of World Pet Association - WPA), Yuehong Zhang (Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group Hong Kong), Juan Xu (General Manager at Royal Canin China), Nicole An (Corporate Affairs Director at Mars Pet Nutrition China), Gustavo Zenaide (Vice President of Pet & Animal Wellbeing at ADM), Matthew Robert Koss (Founder at Primal Pet Foods).
