Pet Fair Asia 2026 Sets the Stage for the Future of Asia' s Pet Industry
Record-breaking scale, a new VIP B2B Day, stronger international participation,
and dedicated innovation and sustainability initiatives position Pet Fair Asia 2026 as a key platform for the next phase of global pet industry growth.
Pet Fair Asia - Asia' s leading international pet industry hub - will open its doors at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from 19 to 23 August 2026 for its 28th edition. The show will set a new record with a fully sold-out exhibition space of 320,000 sqm, bringing together more than 2,600 exhibitors from China and over 30 countries worldwide. This year will also see a record number of international country pavilions, featuring exhibitors from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and Poland.
Buyers across the full spectrum of pet products and services can explore exhibitors and their products through the online exhibitor list: https://links.petfairasia.com/v2hcU6iA
Building on its 2025 edition, which attracted more than 130,000 professional visitors from China and 90 other countries, Pet Fair Asia 2026 is seeing record international interest and pre-registration. International business connections will be further strengthened through the participation of over 100 selected international buyers in this year’s International Buyer Club, taking part in guided tours and pre-arranged business meetings with more than 300 exhibitors.
Co-located events will broaden the show' s coverage of the pet industry ecosystem. PET FAIR SUPPLY will expand to 10 halls, occupying 70,000 sqm and bringing together over 900 exhibitors across equipment, packaging, smart factories, OEM/OBM/ODM and third-party services. PET FAIR ASIA VETERINARY will occupy two halls covering 35,000 sqm, showcasing developments in veterinary medicine, animal health and professional healthcare solutions.
David Zhong, Founder of Pet Fair Asia, said: "Pet Fair Asia has evolved far beyond a showcase of products. It is now a strategic platform connecting the global pet industry with the opportunities, innovation and supply-chain capabilities of China and Asia. This year' s initiatives are designed to deliver greater value and more tangible business outcomes for exhibitors and buyers. Ultimately, we want Pet Fair Asia to be where the industry comes together not only to do business, but to identify what comes next and help shape the future of the global pet economy."
A New Era for Business: VIP B2B Day
A major feature of the 2026 edition is the VIP B2B Day, transforming the opening day into a dedicated, invitation-only business environment focused on high-value connections and commercial opportunities. Chinese importers, wholesalers, distributors, VIP buyers, industry influencers and media partners are invited by the organizer and its partners, as well as participating exhibitors, to access the show on the first day. International visitors will have full access throughout all three business days, allowing global buyers to engage with exhibitors from the opening day while benefiting from the enhanced B2B environment.
The initiative marks another step in Pet Fair Asia' s evolution into strong result-driven business platform, helping exhibitors connect with the right buyers and focusing on the quality rather than the quantity of visitors during the B2B days.
Showcasing the Next Wave of Pet Industry Innovation
Pet Fair Asia 2026 will look beyond traditional product categories to reflect the industry's growing convergence with technology, lifestyle, design and wider consumer trends. Fast-growing areas including functional nutrition, fresh pet diets, smart technologies, pet fashion, travel solutions and human–pet co-living will receive greater attention.
The World Premier Selection will showcase more than 100 breakthrough products making their exclusive global debut at Pet Fair Asia. Selected for their industry leadership, technological advancement or design excellence, these products will give buyers and visitors an exclusive first look at innovations not yet seen elsewhere, offering a glimpse into the products and ideas set to shape the next generation of the pet market.
DISCOVERY zone will feature more than 200 innovative products, while GENIUS HUB will spotlight smart technologies transforming pet care and lifestyles. Pet Fashion Week will explore the intersection of pets, fashion and lifestyle, and Start-Up Zone moves into a new dedicated hall, providing an expanded platform for emerging designers, entrepreneurs and brands.
Sustainability in Action: EcoPaws Asia
Sustainability will take a prominent role through the debut of EcoPaws Asia, developed with guidance from the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC). The programme has already generated strong exhibitor interest, with more than 200 products submitted for consideration.
EcoPaws Asia will recognize sustainability leadership across the Asian pet industry and help buyers identify companies making meaningful progress in environmental and social responsibility. Selected exhibitors will receive enhanced visibility, including "Must-Visit" recognition, while the EcoPaws Asia Showcase Area will present more than 20 hand-picked environmentally responsible products and innovations.
By bringing sustainable products and companies into the spotlight, EcoPaws Asia aims to connect sustainability with the wider industry agenda around innovation, manufacturing and long-term growth, while giving buyers greater access to responsible solutions.
